once there was a really grumpy boy, who gets angry easily
so his father told him:
"everytime u get angry, hammer a nail onto this wall".
the boy did as he was told, n not long after that, he began to learn controlling his anger.
then his father told him:
"now everytime, something bad comes up n u did not feel angry, pull out a nail from the wall".
not long after that, the wall was free of nails.
n the father said to him:
"see, now u've taken out all the nails, there are holes on the wall".
indeed, patience is the best virtue, even though the person that we r angry at, forgave us, there's still a hole in his heart. insyaallah
2:263 Kind speech n forgiveness is better than charity followed by injury; n Allah is Self-sufficient(kaya), Forbearing(penyabar).
my friend said:
"everytime someone be kind to u, carve it on a rock.
n if that someone treat u badly, carve it on the sand.
which one can resist the strong waves of the sea?"
surely, we must remember what kindness others did to us n forget quickly, forgiving his faults on us.
my friend said:
my friend drew a small black dot on a whiteboard n asked:
"a black dot"
why cant u see the bigger white background instead?
we tend to not notice what other people do for us, but we always see his faults.
2 things that we must remember:
1) others' kindness towards us
2) our faults on others
2 things that we must forget:
1) our kindness towards others
2) others' faults on us
